Alabama (Alabay) breed, also known as the Central Asian Shepherd Dog, is both strong and very loving.

The history of Alabai dogs is deeply rooted. It is thought that the first members of the Alabai ( Alabay ) race, which has a long-established history dating back 4000 years, lived in Tibet. Today, it is possible to encounter Alabai dogs frequently in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. It is used as a shepherd and guard dog in these areas.

There are many areas where the Alabai race has been used throughout history. Alabama, which was used not only as a guard dog but also as a war dog, was also used to support the army during Mongolian expeditions.

Alabama race, which is not very popular outside of Asia and cannot compete with other races, started to be produced in the USA outside these countries.
